Instrumental Music
It has been a very busy month for our Music students and the Music Department.
- Our Senior Concert Band and Intermediate Concert Band both travelled to the Victorian Schools Music Festival where they were awarded Gold for their amazing performances.
- Our Small Group Concert was a huge success with several groups having their debut performance for the year.
- Five ensembles attended the Royal South Street Society Ballarat Eisteddfod, with Flute Ensemble and Clarinet Ensemble coming 1st and 2nd in the “16 and Under Instrumental Group” category. Senior Stage Band came 1st in the “20 and Under Jazz and Contemporary Group” category and the Percussion and Brass Ensembles performed at a very high standard in the “20 and Under Instrumental Group” category with the Percussion Ensemble placing 2nd.
- Last Tuesday we also welcomed 200 Music students from different schools around the region to participate in Bandfest where students rehearse and perform music together for the day at Frankston High School.

End Of Year Concert
We are excited about our upcoming End of Year Concert, at 7.00pm on Monday 21 October at the Frankston Arts Centre. This is our biggest concert of the year and features all our major ensembles. With the school celebrating it’s 100th year the Concert will look at changes in music, technology and culture over the last century. Our music students have had an incredible year and the End of Year Concert is always a great enjoyable night.
