SCIENCE

Our Year 8 Science students recently rolled up their sleeves and stepped into the world of real-world biology through a hands-on sheep heart dissection. This practical experience brought the circulatory system to life, allowing students to explore the structure of the heart up close and see how its chambers, valves, and vessels work together to keep blood flowing through the body. There was a real buzz in the room as students made connections between theory and practice, identifying features they had previously only seen in diagrams. Activities like this not only deepen understanding, but also spark curiosity and engagement, giving students a memorable insight into how our bodies function beyond the textbook.
