In English classes at the moment Year 7 are finalising their narratives from the Arch unit and moving into their Myths and Legend unit. Year 8 are presenting their speeches and moving into a text study unit on the novel ‘The Dons’. Year 9 are also moving into a text-based unit on the novel ‘The Outsiders’, after completing their speeches. While Year 10 are finalising their personal response unit and beginning the crafting texts unit using the framework of ‘writing about food’. 

With the text-based units, it is important that students read the novel at home. The novels for year 8 ‘The Dons’ and for year 9 ‘The outsiders’ need to be read by day 1 of term 2.
