VCE Psychology visit to GYPS

The VCE Psychology students made a visit to the local Primary school, to put their learning into action. They had been covering the theories associated with psychological development and had been learning about Jean Piaget’s theory of Cognitive development. 

To put this into action the VCE Psychology students ran some small activities designed to align with Piaget’s stages and ran these on both Prep and Grade 6 students. They were then able to bring the data back and use it to explain Piaget’s ideas and discuss the theory in action.

The preps and grade 6’s loved having the older students visit and the VCE Psychology students enjoyed being able to work with the junior students.
