Year 7 Orientation Day
Evans High School recently welcomed our incoming Year 7 students and their families for a positive and engaging Orientation Day, held in the Uncle Wes Marne Performing Centre.
The day began with a welcome session for parents and students, where families were introduced to the school leadership team, the new Year 7 Year Adviser and Assistant Year Advisers Mr Kumar and Mr Heyderman and key staff. This provided an opportunity to share important information and help families feel confident about the transition to high school.
Following the welcome, parents were invited to enjoy breakfast with our Principal Ms Pretlove and Deputy Principal Ms Jones. This allowed families to ask questions, meet other parents, and learn more about the school’s values, expectations, and support structures.
Meanwhile, our future Year 7 students took part in a range of orientation activities planned to help them feel comfortable and excited about starting high school. The Orientation Day was a wonderful opportunity for us to welcome students to Evans High School while also providing the opportunity for students to begin forming friendships, meet their new teachers, and experience the welcoming and supportive environment our school offers.
We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students and their families next year and thank all parents and carers for joining us on the day.
