PDHPE Faculty

Year 7 and 8 Swim School
In Week 5 this term, our Year 7 and Year 8 students attended Swim School at Blacktown Aquatic Centre as part of their PDHPE program. This valuable experience provided students with the opportunity to build water confidence, refine their swimming techniques, and strengthen essential water safety and survival skills.
Lessons were planned and delivered by our PDHPE teachers, who supported students through structured and practical activities in a safe and encouraging environment, promoting confidence and lifelong safe participation in aquatic activities.
New Athletics Facilities
This term, we were fortunate to have the installation of our new long jump pit and shot put circle. These purpose built sporting areas enhance our school’s facilities and provide students with greater opportunities to develop both fundamental and advanced athletic skills.
The new facilities will play a key role in supporting our High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) students by enabling targeted skill development, extension training, and performance refinement in athletics. They will also be used across PDHPE lessons and school sport to support skill development for all students.
Looking ahead, the next stage of our sporting facility upgrades will focus on improving our cricket nets, further expanding opportunities for student development and training across a range of sports.
