Junior School Update

The theme for Term 3 is Resilience, and it has been wonderful to see this front and centre for both our Year 7 and Year 8 students.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 7 students, who have settled into high school life beautifully and recently celebrated their 100th day of high school! It's a great chance to reflect on just how far they've come since Day 1. 

Year 8 students have also had a fantastic term, continuing to build on the resilience they have developed as they've grown into more confident, independent learners.

Year 7 students headed out on a Geography field trip to Edendale Farm. 

Edendale's philosophy is all about celebrating the natural world and helping students build a genuine connection with the environment, alongside practical, real-world solutions to environmental challenges. 

Students came away with a stronger sense of their own role as future citizens in building a more sustainable world, a fantastic hands-on complement to their classroom learning.

Our Junior School students have thrown themselves into school life this term, getting involved in Write a Book in a Day, music events, the Annual Talent Show, and representing the school in table tennis, basketball, hockey and soccer. 

Their willingness to get involved and give things a go says so much about the resilient, can-do attitude we love to see in our students.

A major highlight was the Talent Show, where some of our Junior School students bravely took to the stage. For the second year running, our Sub-School took out the Talent Show title, a brilliant achievement! A special mention to Yuna, whose performance was simply amazing!

Book Week brought plenty of laughs to Junior School, with staff getting into the spirit of things dressed as Where's Wally. Many students also embraced the dress-up spirit!

Looking ahead

Both Year 7 and Year 8 students are now turning their minds to next year, having recently chosen their subjects for 2027. It's an exciting time as they start to think about their next steps and the pathways ahead.

A huge well done to all our Junior School students for such a positive and resilient Term 3!
