The Road to end of Year 12

As we enter the final stage of Year 12, we wanted to bring together all of the key information and important dates for the weeks ahead. 

This is a big, exciting stretch for our students, and we hope this update helps families feel just as prepared and confident as they do.

Connect Revision Lectures

Connect Revision Lectures will run during the first week of the holidays and Week 1 of Term 4, at a cost of $30 per student.

These lectures are led by Presenters that have obtained very high marks in these subjects and are designed to give students a final, focused boost across their subjects reinforcing key content, sharing exam technique, and highlighting common pitfalls examiners see year after year. 

For many students, they're a genuine confidence builder heading into the exam period.

Tues 22 Sep - Business Management 1pm

Wed 23 Sep - Biology 9am

Wed 23 Sep - Physics 1pm

Mon 5 Oct - Math Methods 3.15pm

Tues 6 Oct - Chemistry 3.15pm

Wed 7 Oct - Economics 1.30pm

Thurs - Oct 8 - Specialist Maths 3.15pm

Students have been given teacher recommendations for other revision lectures on the Year 11 and 12 students 2026 Microsoft team.

Holidays – Week 2: Practice Examinations

Practice examinations will take place during the second week of the school holidays.

These practice exams give students a low-stakes opportunity to sit exam conditions before the real thing, helping them build stamina, manage their time under pressure, and identify any gaps in their knowledge while there is still time to address them. 

To further support revision, students will also receive three practice examination papers per subject, printed and provided by the school.

Final Year 12 Exams

Our Year 12 students have their external examination periods starting on Tuesday 27 October to Wednesday 18 November 2026. 

On exam days, students should meet out the front of the Hall 30 minutes before their scheduled start time, where they will need to have their name marked off by their teacher before entering. 

Exams will be held in the Hall, unless a student has a Special Examination Arrangement (SEA) or is sitting an exam with a listening component, in which case alternative arrangements will apply. 

We wish all our students the very best as they approach this important milestone.

Celebrating Our Year 12 Cohort in Term 4 Wk 2

Week 2 of Term 4 marks the formal conclusion of classes before the SWOT (Study Without Teachers) period and VCE examinations begin. 

We have a wonderful lineup of events planned to celebrate and recognise our Year 12 students as they reach this milestone.

Year 12 Family Breakfast

Families are warmly invited to join us for a special breakfast to celebrate this milestone together. There is no cap on the number of family members who can attend, and Year 12 students come along free of charge. A small fee of $10 per person applies for family and friends.

A Time to Celebrate 

This is such an exciting and memorable time for our Year 12 cohort. We encourage students to make the most of the revision opportunities available, stay focused on their preparation, and truly enjoy the celebrations that mark the culmination of their secondary schooling.

A gentle reminder that there will be no Muck Up Day activities at BHHS. We know our students will want to finish their time at Box Hill High School on a high, and we ask everyone to celebrate responsibly and respectfully, so the positive culture of our school carries right through to the final day. Significant consequences will apply to any student who engages in muck-up day behaviour.
