Choir
The St. Bernard's Year 2 to 6 Choir are busy preparing for the Advent Mass and Star Night. If your child is wanting to join this group, they need to attend rehearsals on Tuesday at lunchtime 1.10-1.40pm or Friday before school 8.30-9.00am. Students have to attend one session and also lead the school, singing at assembly on Monday mornings.
I am very proud of students putting themselves forward to sing solos each Monday. A special mention to those students singing on the microphone for the first time!
The Prep students have been learning about the sound quality of different percussion instruments. Last week, they learned how to play the Maracas playing and singing games. Shake! Shake!
The Grade One students listened to the story of Franz Schubert 1797-1828 who was discovered for his talented singing and piano skills at a young age. Students marched to the beat of his famous composition, 'March of the Militaire.'
The Grade Two students have been busy composing their own C, D and E note tune, whilst each student has been playing their pitch chart to Mrs Peters on the big keyboard with a steady beat. What clever work!
