Grade 6 News

Our recent camp to ADANAC at Yarra Junction was a tremendous success.

Students embraced every opportunity to challenge themselves, build friendships, and create lasting memories. Highlights included the flying fox, water tower, water slide, archery, team games, and cabin activities. It was wonderful to see students demonstrate resilience, cooperation, and enthusiasm throughout the camp experience.

Back in the classroom, we continue reading Can You See Me?, with students exploring themes of friendship, inclusion, and understanding differences.

In Writing, students are developing their persuasive writing skills by constructing arguments on Why therapy dogs are important in schools, using evidence and persuasive language to support their viewpoints.

In Mathematics, students are learning to convert between units of length measurement, including millimetres, centimetres, metres, and kilometres, and applying these skills to real-world problem-solving tasks.

We also congratulate our students who proudly represented the school at the Zone Athletics Carnival last Friday. Their effort, determination, and sportsmanship were outstanding.
