Year 7 Leader of Learning
As we come to the end of Term 2, it is hard to believe that our Year 7 students have already completed their first semester of secondary school. Throughout the term, students have continued to grow in confidence, independence, and resilience as they have settled into life at Cranbourne Secondary College. We are incredibly proud of the way they have embraced new challenges, built positive relationships, and engaged in their learning.
A highlight of the term was our final Year 7 Assembly, where we celebrated the achievements, growth, and efforts of our students.
Awards were presented for outstanding attendance, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), Grade Point Average (GPA) achievement, and GPA growth. We were also delighted to introduce our new Values Award, recognising students who consistently demonstrate our College values through their actions and contributions to our school community. Congratulations to all students who were acknowledged for their efforts throughout the semester. We extend our thanks to Ms Gunn for her work in organising and facilitating this celebration.

Award recipients were also recognised at a special Principal's Lunch alongside our Year 7 Student Leadership Team and Engagement and Curriculum Teachers, providing an opportunity to further celebrate their achievements.

Another significant milestone this term has been the opening of our brand-new Junior School building. This purpose-built learning space has been designed to support students as they transition into secondary school, providing a welcoming environment where they can learn, connect, and thrive. Students have embraced the opportunity to explore the new facilities, establish routines, and develop a strong sense of belonging within the space. The excitement surrounding this new chapter has been evident across the Year 7 cohort.

As we reflect on Semester 1, we would like to thank
our students, families, and staff for their ongoing support and partnership. The success of our Year 7 students is a shared achievement, and we greatly value the important role families play in supporting student learning, wellbeing, and engagement.
We wish all Year 7 families a safe and restful holiday break and look forward to welcoming students back for an exciting and successful Term 3.
