Junior School Report

Junior School News!
The Junior School has been buzzing with students engaging in a wide range of activities across the college, including the lunchtime netball competition, lunchtime activities, interschool sports, Multicultural Day and kiosk excursions.
During the recent Primary School Discovery Days, our Junior School students demonstrated outstanding leadership and mentoring skills while supporting the program for visiting primary school students.
As part of this year’s re-vamp of Junior School assemblies, we have continued discussing the values of Respect, Pride and Success, and what these values look like, sound like and feel like in the classroom, school yard and wider community.
It has been fantastic to see such a significant number of students receiving positive chronicle entries for demonstrating our school values, with Nathan Blackwell and Deklan Dryden being our most recent winners.
Now that the cooler months have well and truly arrived, we would like to remind students that they must be in full school uniform each day.
Students may wear either the formal everyday uniform or the PE uniform, however PE pants must be the approved school pants with the orange piping (not plain black pants).
Students will not be issued uniform passes for hoodies. If students forget their jackets, we always have some available to borrow.
Upcoming Events
- Information regarding the Year 9 City Week/Zoo Sleepover and the Year 8 Allambee Camp, both taking place in November, will be sent out later this term.
- Year 8 students will celebrate their significant contributions to last term’s Colour Run fundraiser with a pizza party.
- Year 9 students will be meeting with Morrisby Career Practitioners over the week of Tuesday 9 June for their 1:1 interview. Times will be scheduled on each student's compass timetable.
- Next term, students will have the opportunity to participate in the “Write a Book in a Day” competition to raise money for children with cancer.
We look forward to continuing the strong engagement, fun and learning within the Junior School as we move into the second half of the term.
