Community Notice – Upcoming Council Works

For the awareness of our College community
Please see the attached letter, which was delivered to the College by a representative from Macedon Ranges Shire Council.
We have been advised that proposed works to the footpath along Melton Road will commence soon, with the project team looking to schedule the works during the Term 3 school holidays, where possible, to minimise the impact on our students, families and broader College community.
The scope of the proposed works includes:
- Footpath works: The existing alignment of the footpath will be retained, with a new 2-metre-wide footpath to be constructed on the southern side of Melton Road. The informal drop-off/pick-up area (from the southern side to the sealed car park entrance on Melton Road) will be closed, as outlined in the plan, to comply with safety and DTP standards.
- Drainage improvements: Drainage culverts will be constructed to reinstate existing informal pipes.
Vegetation pruning and verge reinstatement: Vegetation will be pruned and the verge reinstated in accordance with Australian Standards and relevant requirements.
The College expects to receive a further update regarding the proposed scheduling of works later this term. Once further information is available, we will communicate any additional information or impacts that may be relevant to our College community.
At this stage, no action is required from families or community members. This notice is simply to keep our community informed and aware of the proposed works.
We will provide further information as it becomes available, including any impacts the works may have on our College.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
