State Year 7 Tennis

The Year 7 Boys Tennis team made it through to the state finals which took place on November 17th after winning the Eastern Metropolitan Region finals. 

After breezing through the EMR pool matches, the boys came up against a very strong Balwyn High School in the final. After the singles matches were shared 2 matches each, the boys stepped up their game to win both doubles matches and take home the title. 

The Year 7 Boys Tennis team then went onto play at Dingley Tennis Club in the State finals. The team played exceptionally well and easily made it through the pool matches. The semi final was a close encounter with Box Hill winning 4 sets to 2.  Unfortunately the final was against Maribyrnong Secondary College which is a tennis academy school.  The boys pushed them all the way but came away as 4-2 losers.
