SRC Term 4 Updates
This term, the SRC Garden Team has solidified our design of the garden, featuring rock seating in the form of yarning circles that students can hang out on while on breaks, and teachers could use as an outdoor class space. Through meetings with the assistant principal, Mr. Breese, and local council members, we have been discussing how to transport these heavy stones into the school. Our aim is to complete this over the summer holidays.
This year the Podcast team has managed to finish the first episode of their podcast, ‘In the Box’ and is dispersing to leave the podcast to a specialised group that can commit more to the episodes. We truly enjoyed working on this podcast and wish it well for future year levels at Box Hill High School in the hands of a committed team.
The School Values Team aimed to foster resilience, creativity, respect, and growth in students by improving their wellbeing, education in the classroom. This term we have finalised our Brain-Break Kits, which are teaching tools and games that will be put in every classroom for teachers to use next year! It is our hope that these will help learning and engagement.
