Year 10 Program

In term 4 of the Year 10 Program, students had the chance to participate in a variety of fun, active, and engaging activities to celebrate the end of the year, as well as prepare them for exams and moving into VCE next year.

Full Day Excursions – In weeks 1 and 4 students split off into groups and attended a range of different excursions, including Trees Adventure, METEC Driver Training, City Escape, Melbourne Museum, Rock Climbing, Action Indoor Sports, Lawn Bowls, and The 1000 Steps. Students loved the opportunity to spend some time outdoors, participate in physical recreation, or even just be in a different environment for the day with their friends.

Celebratory Activities – We ran a variety of group activities in the remaining weeks of the year during which students could work with students from other classes, develop teamwork skills, and get out of the classroom for some fun.  This included activities such as board games, trivia, FitnessWorx team building games, and a scavenger hunt around the school.

Exam Preparation – Students revisited the study skills they had learnt earlier in the year from Elevate Education prior to their end of year exams. They were also given the opportunity to complete the Myers-Briggs personality test and encouraged to employ specific study habits aimed at their personality type.

Reflection – Students looked back on 2023, including the goals they set in term one, and reflected on the progress they made including how they had participated in the activities across the whole year.  They also looked ahead to starting year 11 in 2024 and set some new goals for next year.
