Hello everyone! This is Faith and Yalda, your 2026 Fern House Captains!

We are beyond excited, incredibly keen, ready, and so hopeful for what this year is going to bring. We’re proud to step into this role and promise to be positive, supportive, and fair leaders who listen, encourage, and cheer you on every step of the way.

First off, can we just take a moment to appreciate how well our House has been doing? The energy, the spirit, the participation, it’s been amazing. A special shout out to our Year 7s! Starting high school can feel huge, new classes, new teachers, new faces, but you’ve jumped in with such courage and enthusiasm. We see you getting involved and giving things a go. That’s exactly what makes our House stronger.

Now, Fern House’s initiative isn’t only about winning (although we definitely like winning!). It’s about courage. It’s about stepping up even when you’re nervous. It’s about taking small steps because small steps, taken consistently, lead to great success. Every point earned, every event entered, every cheer from the sidelines adds up.

This year, we want everyone, Years 7 through 12,  to participate. Join the events. Try something new. Support each other loudly. When we show up together, we grow together. And when we grow together, we win together.

We are aiming to truly lead and represent our House and its students. We will both be around the House waiting for your questions and suggestions, so don’t hesitate to come up to us! It's on our behalf to ensure that 2026 is the best year for everyone to be in Fern!

Let’s make 2026 the year we take courage, lift each other up, and show everyone what Fern House is capable of.

Remember: it’s not about being the loudest person in the room, it’s about having the courage to take that first step. Let’s make it count.
