Grevillea House

Hello, everyone! We are Adam and Tahera, and it is a pleasure to introduce ourselves as this year’s Grevillea House Captains. 

We are incredibly excited to take on this role and can’t wait to see what we can achieve as a House. No matter what year you are in, this year is important for all of us. So let's grasp all the opportunities that will come our way, make memories, try new things, and be supportive of one another. 

Our goal this year is to strengthen our sense of belonging, House spirit, participation in school events and build on last year’s success in Chorals. We aim to encourage all members to actively participate in House activities, support one another and thrive in their achievements.

After the recent Badges Assembly, we would like to congratulate our Grevillea SRC representatives! Chris G7, Sadaf G8, Mushab G9, Fayeqa G10, Abraham G11, and Matin G12. We’re proud of each of you for stepping up to represent our House. Leadership starts with involvement, and you’ve already set the tone for the year.

Earlier this year, we had the Grevillea VS Hakea dodgeball competition. The energy, the teamwork, and the House spirit were incredible. That’s exactly the atmosphere we want to keep building. We hope to run more events like this throughout the whole year, events that bring us together, build friendly relationships, and also strengthen our house pride.

To our Year 7 students, welcome to the purple family. Starting high school can be overwhelming, but in Grevillea, you are never alone. And to every other year level, from Year 8 through to our Year 12s, each of you plays an important role in shaping our House. From your first year to your final year, we stand, compete, and grow together as one Grevillea.

Looking ahead, we’ll continue introducing lunchtime activities and House challenges to keep that spirit going. These aren’t just events but they're opportunities to build a sense of connection and make memories. 

With the Swimming Carnival approaching, we need everyone. Whether you’re swimming, cheering, helping, or simply showing up in purple, every effort matters. It’s a great opportunity to represent your House, earn valuable points and help Grevillea grow closer in winning the competition. 

Being your House Captains gives us the wonderful opportunity to get to know you all, so please, don’t hesitate to come say hi (we’re very friendly, trusttttt!). This year, let’s lift the standard. Let’s back each other. Let’s make Grevillea a House people talk about, for the right reasons. Take control of 2026! Make sure to give this term your all, challenge yourselves and get involved!
