Term 1 Week 8

In the Japanese room....

Konnichiwa こんいちわ

Welcome to 2026 in the Japanese room!

We are all loving our fabulous new learning space and have started the year off running

 (or should I say galloping.......)

Each grade have  commenced the year learning about the Lunar New Year celebration. This year is the Year of the Fire Horse - a time of high energy, rapid change and determination. Those born in the Year of the Fire Horse have characteristics of strength and independence.

Classes learnt of the significance of the Lunar New Year across the variety of nations that celebrate this festival.

They created beautiful craft including headbands, bunting and stain glass window panels that are on  display in the Japanese room.

Music Room

The fun doesn't stop in Music! We have been FLAT OUT consolidating all our learning this fortnight.

Our Prep students have been showing the most amazing confidence as we sing, play and dance around the room!

Year 1 students are superstars at their rhythms and have been adding body percussion too.

Year 2 students are getting SO good at playing their glockenspiels and playing in time with another buddy - they're sounding fabulous! I'm so proud of them.
