Camp Phillip Island

In Week 6, the Year 5s went to Phillip Island for school camp. We rolled onto the bus at 9am on Monday, and stopped for morning tea at Koo Wee Rup. When we arrived at the camp, we had a very warm welcome from the camp coordinators and heard all about the amazing activities we were going to be taking part in over the next few days! Some of the activities we did were archery, damper cooking, flying fox, giant swing, mechanical wall and abseiling. We were all able to squeeze in a few activities before dinner, and a duty group helped set up the dining room.

Day 2 was off to a soggy start, and there were a few tired eyes in the dining room at breakfast, but that didn’t stop us getting out there and completing our activities for the day! After a delicious dinner of chicken tenders and chips, and a movie night in the rec room, we all caught up on some missing hours of sleep and woke up feeling energised and refreshed for our final day.

We had so much fun at Phillip Island camp and were very grateful to our teachers and parent helpers for making it such a fantastic camp. We can’t wait for next year!!

Monday it starts

And Wednesday it ends

Never ending laughing

I hear screams at 1 am

Chaos emerges, chaos ends
