Biz - E - Kidz Update

From Libby, Biz-E-Kidz Coordinator

 Fruitilicious and delicious!

Welcome back to our Assistant Coordinator Harper, he has been on holiday in ~Sumatra~ practising his Indonesian and even was interviewed in a local newspaper when he visited a celebration!

We have been working on collecting parent opinions on Seniors children’s use of 30 minutes of iPad time on Wednesday afternoons, thank you everyone who has given feedback. School council-run not-for-profit OSHC services like ours really rely on feedback from families, so please always feel encouraged to share.

We have been working with Gardening teacher Tess on our sustainability plans and are looking into a bit of worm farming at Biz-E-Kidz! Worm farms are a great way to process food waste and teach children about soil, recycling and biology - soil is made up of healthy bacteria and microorganisms and worm poo (“castings”) is just about the best fertiliser that exists. We can help the school’s gardening classes, and cooking classes, by helping provide amazing fertiliser for the garden’s herbs, vegetables and fruit! Delicious! And nutritious.

This week we feature a happy drawing from Biz-E-Kid Sidney on the front cover of the Biz-E-Zine, a homegrown weekly print magazine where children from all programs can publish their work and share with the other programs.

This fortnight on our feedback form we are keeping the same prompt as last fortnight: please tell us anything at all about your child's experience at Biz-E-Kidz. All responses are anonymous but feel free to add your name!

Finally, if you needed it, here is a reminder to book in for the Holiday Program!
