From the Principal

Every day I am reminded of the many ways in which Camden High School works to deliver outstanding leadership, teaching and learning. The staff at Camden High School consistently go above and beyond to provide vibrant and inclusive learning environments that drive student success, and this is reflected in what happens both inside and beyond our classrooms.

Alongside our school captains, student leadership representatives, and staff members, I was proud to represent Camden High School at both the Dawn Service and Community March on ANZAC Day. It was pleasing to see so many members of our school supporting an important community event.

We are shortly about travel to Cowra for the annual Camden V Cowra exchange. A tradition that began in 1972, the exchange is a unique opportunity that is highly valued by both schools.

In order to be eligible for the privilege of representing Camden High School, students are expected to fulfill their responsibilities as learners who are respectful and safe, meeting high standards of attendance, behaviour, work ethic and participation. This is continuously monitored, and will continue to inform eligibility and selection for the exchange in coming years.

I am looking forward to three days of fierce competition and rivalry, but also the great displays of skill and sportsmanship that will be evident across all sports and competitions. Please take the opportunity to support our school and students.

As we move further into the autumn and winter seasons, I encourage all students and families to purchase appropriate uniform items for the onset of cooler weather.

School uniforms play a crucial role in creating a sense of unity and pride among students. When students wear the same attire, it sends a powerful message: we are all part of the same team.

This unity promotes equality by minimizing visible economic and social differences, allowing students to focus on what truly matters—their education and personal development.

Uniforms also contribute to a safer school environment. They make it easier to identify students and visitors on campus.

I regularly speak to students about our visibility in the local community, and how our standard of dress and behaviour reflects on our reputation.

Uniform items featuring the Camden High School logo are available from Yeronga Uniforms in Camden. Other acceptable uniform items are plain navy blue jumpers and track pants. Brand names and other logos are not appropriate to be worn at school.

We appreciate your continued support in ensuring that students wear their uniforms with pride and adhere to our school’s dress code. By doing so, you help reinforce our motto of “together we achieve” and our responsibilities as learners who are respectful and safe
