WHITTLESEA TECH SCHOOL PROGRAM

Throughout the term, students have been participating in a weekly excursion to Whittlesea Tech School every Tuesday afternoon, where they engage in hands-on learning that develops creativity, innovation, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Over the first three weeks, students participated in the Board Game Mash-Up project, where they explored the mechanics of existing board games before designing and creating their own original games by combining ideas from popular games. Students worked collaboratively to generate creative concepts, test their ideas, and refine their designs through feedback and teamwork.

Throughout the remainder of the program, students will develop cardboard prototypes to bring their ideas to life before exploring the app design process, where they will learn how to plan, design and present a digital application. The program will continue to provide students with valuable opportunities to build design thinking, communication and practical technology skills while encouraging creativity, innovation and real-world problem solving.
