Exploring Careers Through Virtual Reality

During Term 3, students at Plenty River College had the opportunity to experience a range of careers through the Vic Vice Virtual Reality (VR) program. Using VR headsets, students were immersed in real workplace environments, giving them a unique insight into a variety of occupations.
Students explored careers across a range of industries, including trades, healthcare, early childhood education, farming and construction. They experienced what a typical day looks like in different professions, helping them gain a better understanding of the skills, responsibilities and opportunities each career offers.
The Vic Vice experience encouraged students to think more broadly about their future pathways and introduced them to careers they may not have previously considered. It was an engaging and enjoyable way to explore the world of work while helping students make more informed decisions about their future.
This valuable learning experience also links closely with our Work-Related Skills program, supporting students to develop career awareness, explore pathway options and prepare for life beyond school.
