RISE UP EXCURSION

On Wednesday 30th July, students participated in the Rise Up program, and went on an informative school excursion to Coles, Bunnings and Best & Less. The excursion provided students with the opportunity to explore the world of work, learn about different career pathways and gain a better understanding of what it takes to secure employment with some of Australia’s well-known retailers.

The students visited each business and learned about the wide range of employment opportunities available. From customer service and retail sales to stock management, merchandising, administration and team leadership, students discovered that there are many different roles and career pathways within the retail industry.

The students gained a valuable understanding of the hiring process, including the importance of preparing for interviews, communicating confidently, and presenting themselves professionally. The excursion provided an excellent opportunity for students to connect their learning with real-world employment experiences and gain practical knowledge and confidence that they can draw from when they begin applying for jobs.
