Wellbeing Moments

Welcome to our Wellbeing Moment: a chance to pause for a minute and reflect on something small but important. There’s nothing you need to do – just take from it whatever feels useful to you.
This week’s focus is Mateship.
As we head into the Easter holiday break, it’s a great time to reflect on the idea of mateship and how we show up for the people around us.
Mateship is more than just friendship – it’s about showing up for each other in the moments that matter. A good mate is someone who is loyal, who checks in (even when nothing seems wrong) and who has your back when things get tough. Over the holidays, this might look like staying connected with friends, reaching out to someone who might be doing it tough or making sure no one is left out.
Strong connections don’t require grand gestures – they’re built through small, consistent actions. A message, a quick catch-up, or simply asking, “Are you okay?” and genuinely meaning it can make a real difference.
As you head into the break, take a moment to think about how you show up as a mate and where you might take that one step further.
And if you ever want someone to talk to, you’re always welcome to check in with your Head of Year or our College Psychologists.
