Dear Families,

Confirmation

Congratulations to all of our Confirmation candidates who received the sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday. I would like to express our sincere gratitude to Father Brendan for celebrating this beautiful sacrament and for the time, care and wisdom you have shared with our students throughout their preparation.  

Also, my gratitude to the Year 6 teachers and Annette; thank you for the many hours you have devoted to preparing our students. Your commitment to helping each child grow spiritually is deeply appreciated.

To our parents, families and sponsors, thank you for supporting the candidates and sharing your own faith; you have helped prepare them for this significant moment.  

To our Year 6 students, may the Holy Spirit continue to strengthen you, guide you and fill your hearts with peace and joy throughout your lives. You are called to be people of hope, faith and love. Never underestimate the difference you can make through a kind word, a helping hand, or by standing up for what is right. Allow the Holy Spirit to inspire you to use your unique talents to serve.  May God bless each one of you and your families.

Emmaus Parish Choir

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful school choir for sharing your beautiful gift of music at our two confirmation ceremonies. Their singing added such reverence and joy to this celebration, helping to make this Mass truly memorable. A sincere thank you also goes to the parents and families who generously gave their time to bring choir members to our celebrations. Your support and commitment are greatly appreciated and have helped make this liturgy so special. 

Celebrating the Feast of St Mary MacKillop 8th of August 

This week, we celebrate the Feast of St Mary MacKillop, Australia's first saint. Mary MacKillop devoted her life to serving others, especially those who were poor, vulnerable and in need of education. Her famous words, "Never see a need without doing something about it," continue to inspire us to live with compassion, kindness and faith.

As a school community, we will reflect on Mary's example of courage, service and trust in God. May her life encourage us all to recognise the needs of those around us and to make a positive difference through our words and actions each day.

Growing Up Online 

Parents are invited to our Cybersafety session, Growing Up Online, on Thursday the 10th September. The session is an educational & empowering session for Parents and carers run by Susan McLean from CyberSafety Solutions. Susan McLean established Cyber Safety Solutions in March 2007, and it has grown into the most highly respected and in-demand cyber safety consultancy in Australia.
