As resilient learners, we are learning to identify and describe examples of empathy shown through the character strengths of kindness, love and social intelligence.

  • Kindness means caring for and helping others.
  • Love means showing love towards the people we meet.
  • Social intelligence means understanding how others feel.

Character strengths are the good qualities that help us to do great things and be a good person. Knowing our character strengths empowers us to feel pride, confidence, gratitude and appreciation for ourselves, as we recognise and embrace ourselves, and celebrate our unique strengths, qualities and achievements.

As readers and writers, we have been developing our research skills by using Chromebooks to investigate an animal. Students have been learning how to find reliable information from child-friendly websites, identify important facts, and record notes in their own words. They have explored topics such as an animal's habitat, diet, appearance, behaviour, life cycle, and interesting adaptations. We look forward to seeing their knowledge come together in informative and engaging animal reports!

As mathematicians, we are learning to identify angles as measures of turn and use right angles as a reference to compare angles in everyday situations. Try to notice angles in your everyday lives and decide if they are big, small, or right angles!
