School Wide Positive Behaviour System

We Take Care of Our Environment

One of our school's expected behaviours is "We take care of our environment." This expectation reminds us that every member of our school community has a role to play in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming place for everyone.

Taking care of our environment means more than just keeping the school grounds tidy. It involves showing respect for the spaces we use every day, including classrooms, outdoor areas, shared facilities, and personal spaces. Small actions can make a big difference. Placing rubbish in bins, recycling where possible, picking up litter, and looking after school property all help to create an environment, we can be proud of.

A key part of this value is maintaining a neat and organised locker space. Lockers are an important part of school life, providing a place to store books, equipment, and personal belongings. Keeping lockers tidy not only makes it easier to find what you need but also helps to prevent lost items and unnecessary clutter. Students are encouraged to regularly clean out their lockers, remove old papers, and ensure food wrappers or rubbish are disposed of correctly. A tidy locker reflects personal responsibility and contributes to a cleaner school environment overall.

Looking after our environment also means being mindful of how our actions affect others. When we leave spaces clean and organised, we show consideration for our peers, teachers, and support staff. Together, we can create a positive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and respected.

As we look to move into Term 3, we encourage all students to think about the ways they can contribute to a cleaner and greener school. By working together and making responsible choices each day, we can demonstrate our commitment to the value: "We take care of our environment."
