Year 7 DRAMA!

Year 7 Drama Takes to the Stage!

What a proud moment it was to witness our Semester 1 Year 7 students take to the stage for their very first Drama Presentation, Fractured Fairytales, on Friday 12 June.

The evening was a wonderful celebration of creativity, collaboration and courage. It was incredibly rewarding to see weeks of hard work, resilience and enthusiasm culminate in such a memorable performance. For many students, this was their first experience performing before a live audience—and a full house at that! They rose to the occasion with confidence, energy and a fantastic sense of fun, delighting the audience from beginning to end.

The audience response was overwhelmingly positive. Parents continued to share their appreciation and enjoyment of the evening long after the final curtain call!

"An amazing performance tonight!! It was so funny and I hope the students all got a huge buzz from being on stage. Well done to you and all involved!"

"You should charge for this — it was fantastic!"

"Congratulations, what a wonderful night!"

These comments perfectly captured the joy, humour and entertainment our students brought to the stage, as well as the pride they felt in sharing their work with family, friends and staff.

Productions such as this are never possible without the support of a dedicated team. A heartfelt thank you goes to our Head of Faculty, Kitty Skeen, for her ongoing encouragement and support throughout the entire process. Thank you also to Emma Scott and Amy Ludvick for their invaluable backstage assistance on the evening, ensuring everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. Special recognition must also go to our talented Year 11 student, Clancy Skeen, whose expertise supported our budding Year 7 sound and lighting engineers bring each performance to life.

Most importantly, congratulations to our Semester 1 Year 7 students. Their willingness to step outside their comfort zones, embrace new challenges and support one another made this first-ever Year 7 Drama Presentation a resounding success. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and look forward to seeing their confidence, creativity and performance skills continue to grow in the years ahead.
