Year 8 Hanging Rock Humanities Excursion

On Thursday the 21st of May, the year 8s went on an awesome excursion to Hanging Rock organized by Mrs Stewart. At Hanging Rock the students were given a field work task that they had to complete about Hanging Rock and its surrounds. The students were provided with a ranger talk about the parks history, management techniques, all its facilities, events it’s held and how it functions. The students hiked up half way to draw a field sketch of the rocks and were then given the option to go all the way up to the summit which most of them did. The students also had the freedom to explore the rocks safely and then hiked back down to the bottom to have some lunch.
