Senior Mathematics 

The Senior Mathematics Department is proud to celebrate an outstanding semester of achievement. Our students have shown exceptional commitment to their studies, and their results reflect this dedication.

This semester, we welcomed three new staff members to the senior mathematics team: Dr Peter Morgan, Philippos Kormos, and Adam Alfawwal. Each has brought a wealth of experience and enthusiasm, further strengthening our department.

Our Year 12 students have been particularly impressive, displaying high levels of focus, resilience, and academic excellence as they work toward their final exams. 

Their achievements are a testament to their effort and determination.

Special recognition goes to the Year 12 teaching team: Steve Zafiropoulos, Peter Charalambous, and Leanne Giaimo. These teachers have gone above and beyond in delivering high-quality instruction and personalised support. Their tireless dedication offering help during free periods and after school, has been instrumental in helping students reach their full potential.

We thank all our students, families, and staff for their continued support and look forward to another successful semester ahead.

Oakleigh Grammar Shines in the 2025 International Mathematical Modelling Challenge (IM²C)

We’re excited to celebrate the participation of five outstanding teams from Oakleigh Grammar in the 2025 International Mathematical Modelling Challenge (IM²C). This global competition challenges students to solve real-world problems using mathematical modelling, teamwork, and critical thinking.

From 94 teams across Australia, 77 completed entries were submitted. The following Oakleigh Grammar’s teams submitted their entries on time and were formally recognised as Successful Participants – a strong testament to the commitment and talent of our students.
