SENIOR GIRLS SOCCER REGIONALS

This term our senior girls soccer team competed at regionals for a spot in the state competition. Our girls got off to a tough start against Bentleigh Secondary College trailing 1 nil but kept working hard. In the final 30 seconds Zahra drew the game off a corner kick keeping us in the tournament with a chance. The girls went on to beat Nossal High School (9-0) and Mentone Girls Grammar (5-0) convincingly earning top spot for our pool and progressing into the final. We played Elizabeth Murdoch College in the final going down 2 nil finishing 2nd overall on the day. Despite our loss, the girls kept their heads up and played right up until the final whistle, with a special shout out to Zenani who received complements from the opposing team coach for her superb effort and gameplay in the final. 

HP finished runners up and with the most goals scored of all competing teams on the day. Great effort to all the girls involved, we are so proud of all of you.
