Walton House News

Dear Parents, Carers, Family and Students,

Term 3 has been a huge term so far, with so many exciting events and student achievements!

Multicultural Assembly: On the 20th of August, HPSC ran the whole school Multicultural Assembly. This was a fantastic assembly, which showcased the amazing work of students who have spent a long time practicing their cultural dances.  On Wednesday the 28th we have the Multicultural showcase in the RPAC to again celebrate and support the students in expressing their cultural diversity.

Sporting events: We have celebrated so many amazing sporting achievements this term, including most recently HPSC coming third in the state for futsal.

Science Week: Last week was Science week, we had staff v student competitions, science events and students got together to celebrate a shared love of learning science.

Book Week: It is book week this week! This week we are running a book drive, where students can drop off books to their house office. Books will be donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

Student Values Nomination Champion:

This term the student who has achieved the most values nominations in Walton so far is Soth Nhem.

Excellent work Soth!!

Reminders

Homework club runs on Tuesday and Thursdays. Please come along!

Book Reviews

We are in URGENT need of student book reviews! Please read a book, write a review, take a photo and send it to Mr Antill! Let’s get Walton winning the book review points again 😊

Uniform, lates and attendance

A reminder to please ensure all students are following the correct school uniform. Ensure you are either in the academic uniform with black lace up shoes, or the sports uniform with runners, not a mixture of the two.

We need students to be coming to school on time, every time.

Please keep up the great work.

Thank you

Gabi Phelan and the Walton Team
