Freeman House News

Hello Freeman Families,

Course Counselling Thank you

Our recent school course counselling sessions were a great success! Your active participation and support were invaluable as we worked together to help our students make informed decisions about their subjects. We sincerely thank all the families who attended and contributed to these important discussions. Your engagement makes a significant difference in our school community, and we look forward to continuing this partnership. Students who haven't yet completed your course counselling interview should reach out to a member of the Freeman House Team and to complete this process.

Who do you look up to and why?:I look up to my closest partner. He is the type of role model that has changed and influenced my perspective in year 12 as well as the outside world. I choose him because I have learnt to grow mature with my studies and treating myself much more better. Apart from my self though, he is the type of person who considers others around him without forgetting himself. A mistake he will make will be an opportunity to learn from. He’ll take many opportunities or find his own. The best part that really inspires me is that he knows he has a voice and is not afraid to show what he wants and is ready to take on any task. I heavily emphasise these traits because that’s the type of person I want to be more like. He demonstrates and teaches myself resilience and self-value. I think this is important to know during my final year of high school.

What is a piece of advice you would give to other students? My advice to other students would be to take advantage of everything given to you. Teachers will give many resources to help you prepare up until the end of year 12 exams from the very beginning. But it is only up to us to work towards the pathways and goals we want to achieve. Everything counts!! Asking yourself if what you're doing right now will help you in the next few years is the best practice. That is how you can make sure you can lock in for high school!
