Hollows House News
Greetings, Hollows House,
As always, we have been highly active, working together towards success in every area of Hampton Park Secondary College. It has been a fantastic term, and we’re proud of all the achievements across our House.
Our students have been shining on the sports field, with participants in the rugby championships representing our school with pride. We’ve also had a strong presence in the College soccer and basketball teams across all year levels. We look forward to seeing more successes and hearing about your accomplishments as the term progresses.
In addition to sports, we have been thrilled to receive a high number of Values nominations. It’s incredibly rewarding to see so many of you being recognised for the kindness, compassion, and care you show every day in your classes and around the school. Your efforts do not go unnoticed, and they make us proud to be part of the Hollows House team.
So far this term, we have had the following values nominations:
RESPECT: 22
LEARNING: 314
WORKING TOGETHER: 110
COMMUNITY: 5
LEADERSHIP: 10
Many of you are also busy preparing for the upcoming 4C’s events and multicultural evenings. We can’t wait to see you perform and represent your cultures with pride at these events in the coming weeks. Your dedication and enthusiasm are truly inspiring. As well as this, well done goes to those who have represented the College at the recent SEVR battle of the Bands events- fantastic achievements to be getting up on stage and showing your musical abilities!
Well done to all the students who have been involved and active in Science Week activities, wellbeing programs, Humanities- including the Holocaust excursions and this week’s English week activities. It is awesome to see so many of us participating in the various activities that are being run and enjoying the experiences being provided. Also, we are almost there for everyone’s course counselling being completed. It has been a massive task to get all of the course counselling sessions done, so thank you to you and also your families for coming to your sessions prepared and organised, making sure that the course counselling sessions go smoothly. We hope that you will all continue to show this level of preparation and organisation for our upcoming student lead conferences, which are occurring on Wednesday 4th September.
Lastly, a quick reminder to stay on top of your attendance. If you’re absent, please remember to bring a medical certificate so we can support you and help you avoid needing to redeem time. And if you’re running late, don’t forget to bring a note from home or have your parents contact Miss Jo. This helps us ensure that you’re on track and minimises the need for us to follow up.
Keep up the fantastic work, Hollows House! Let’s continue to achieve great things together.
Go Hollows!
