Mabo House News

Hello Mabo students and families,

It’s hard to believe how quickly the school year is progressing. As we find ourselves already in the third term, it's a great time to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished together and look forward to what lies ahead.

The pace of the school year can sometimes feel like it’s flying by, but that just shows how engaged and active our school  community has been. Each day brings new opportunities for learning, growth, and connection, and it’s been inspiring to see our students embrace these with enthusiasm.

As we continue through this term, let's maintain the momentum. This is a crucial time for building on the foundations we've laid in the earlier part of the year. Whether it’s in academics, sports, the arts, there's so much potential for our Mabo students to shine.

Course Counselling

Thank you to all students for preparing properly for the recent Course Counselling (all year levels). It was great to see that all Mabo students had engaged with our Mentoring sessions on Course Counselling for 2025. Please return all signed paperwork to Mabo Office ASAP so we can get your learning programs prepared for 2025.

Multicultural Assembly

One of the many “best things” about Hampton Park is our multicultural diversity.

We are incredibly fortunate to be part of a community that represents a wide array of cultures, languages, and traditions. This diversity is not just a point of pride for our school—it’s a tremendous strength that enhances every aspect of our educational experience.

In a multicultural school like ours, students are exposed to a broad spectrum of perspectives and ways of life. This exposure fosters a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world around them, helping them become more empathetic, open-minded, and globally aware individuals.

Our multicultural environment also encourages creativity and innovation- we saw this at our Multicultural Assembly yesterday (20 August). When students collaborate with peers from different backgrounds, they learn to approach problems from various angles, leading to richer discussions and more innovative solutions. This diversity of thought prepares our students for success in an increasingly interconnected world and we are extremely proud of our Mabo students involved. Good luck at the Multicultural showcase and the 4C’s event at Bunjil Place.

I also want to take a moment to recognise the incredible support from our families and staff. Your dedication to our students’ success is what makes our school such a special place. Let’s keep this strong partnership going as we navigate the remainder of the year.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment and energy. Together, let’s make the most of every moment in Term 3!

Warm regards,
