Fun, fundraising and community spirit at Essex Heights!

There has been plenty happening in the world of the Parents & Friends Club (PFC), with fantastic school events bringing our community together. From dancing and disco lights to Father’s Day celebrations and our upcoming Secondhand Uniform Stall, here’s a wrap-up of what we’ve been up to — and what’s coming next!

🪩 School Disco – What A Night!

What an incredible night at our 2026 Essex Heights School Disco! 🕺💃

A huge 393 students hit the dance floor across two sessions, with 190 students attending Session 1 (Prep to Year 2) and 203 attending Session 2 (Years 3 to 6). The hall was filled with music, dancing, laughter and plenty of fun!

We were especially impressed by how well behaved the students were throughout the evening. A huge thank you also goes to all our families for following the event instructions so carefully. From drop-off and collection to having children prepared for the evening, everyone’s cooperation helped make the night run smoothly and safely.

💰 A fantastic fundraising result!

Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets and supported the event, the School Disco raised an incredible $2,931.50 FOR OUR SCHOOL!  🎉

We’re so grateful to everyone who supported the Disco. Every ticket purchased and every contribution made helps the PFC raise funds that go directly towards supporting our school and creating wonderful opportunities and experiences for our students.

💙 Father’s Day Breakfast & Stall

🎉 What a Father’s Day Celebration!

What a morning! Our EHPS stadium was buzzing on Friday 28 August as we welcomed more than 150 parents, grandparents and carers to celebrate Father’s Day with our wonderful school community.

There was food, fun, photos, activities, plenty of laughs — and even a raffle to finish things off! 🎟️🎁

The stadium was absolutely full of laughter, chatter and happy faces, and it was fantastic to see so many families taking the time to enjoy a special morning together.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the event such a huge success. On behalf of the PFC, we loved celebrating with you and are so grateful to have such a wonderful EHPS community.

🎁 And the celebrations continued - Father’s Day Stall on Friday

Our Father’s Day Stall on Friday 4 September gave our students the chance to choose a little something special for Dad, Grandad or their special carer.

And a big thank you to all the amazing volunteers who helped us set up and run the stall. We appreciate you!

👕 Secondhand Uniform

📦 Thank you for the donations received last Friday, 4 September. If you have good-quality, clean school uniform items your family no longer needs, we’d love your donations on our scheduled dates to sell as a fundraiser for our school!

Come along and grab some pre-loved uniform items for your family on Friday 11 September.

🕒 3:00pm – 3:45pm at the Stadium

Payment via EFTPOS (Visa/MasterCard) only. All proceeds are fundraising for our school.

A huge thank you to everyone who donates, volunteers and supports our secondhand uniform initiative. Your contributions help keep useful uniform items in our school community while raising funds to support our students. 💙

📅 PFC Meeting Update

Our next PFC meeting is currently planned for Wednesday 9 September, replacing the previously scheduled meeting on 19 August. Join us at 7pm in the Staff Room at school; enter via Office reception. All are welcome.
