Darwinia House

Hi everyone! My name is Fatimah and I'm proud to represent Darwinia as their Year 10 SRC for 2026. 

As an SRC one of the many things I enjoy the most is sharing my ideas to my peers, to represent my house, organising activities and making our school a safe and positive place for students, staff and parents.

I'm here to wrap up everything that's been going on in Term 2, which has been very chaotic and fun with lots of different activities, such as Chorales, House charity events, the Big Freeze.

Good job to Darwinia for winning second place in Chorales and the song we sang was Thinking About Tomorrow. Overall, Chorales was a very fun and exciting experience where everyone was able to participate in and show off their vocal and instrumental skills.

Darwina unfortunately still hasn't been able to start their charity event yet, but we have made a Mario Kart tournament where it cost $3 to enter and if you're able to win you can get a prize of a $30 gift card. So make sure you come and see that! The last day to sign up is Friday the 26th of June, remember it’s cash only!!!

Another thing we did this term was the ice bucket challenge, where we donated money for a good cause, which raised over $1000 and we were able to  dump ice cold water on the teachers in the green space. Thank you to Mr Green for organising it. Something else coming up is Athletics which is happening in Term 3 on the 19th of August which you should sign up and join in the activities.
