Callistemon House

Hi everyone, 

My name is Asma, and I’m really proud to be part of the SRC. What I enjoy most about being SRC is having the opportunity to represent students, share ideas from our peers, and help contribute to making our school a more positive and connected community. It’s also been great working with other SRCs and teachers  to plan and support different school events. 

To wrap up Term 2, it has been a very busy and successful term with lots of involvement across different areas of school life. We had a range of house events, fundraising activities, and student led initiatives that helped bring students together and build school spirit. It was great to see students getting involved in different ways, whether through competitions, supporting their houses, or helping out in school activities. There was a strong sense of teamwork and participation across the school, and it really showed the positive energy of our community.

For Chorales, congratulations to Eucalyptus House for taking out the win this term. A big well done as well to Callistemon students, we did very well overall and showed strong effort, participation, and teamwork. It was great to see so many students get involved and support their house. 

For House Charity and Social Service, this term we have been raising money for the Cancer Council. We ran a variety of activities including “lollies in the jar” guessing competition, a morning tea for Callistemon staff members and students, and other small fundraising events and stalls. These activities helped bring students together while also supporting an important cause, and we are proud of the efforts from everyone who contributed.

Looking ahead, Athletics will be held in Term 3. This is a great opportunity for students to get involved, represent their houses and show school spirit both on and off the track. I encourage everyone to participate and cheer each other on.  

Finally, I hope everyone has a great holiday break. Make sure you relax, spend time with family and friends, and come back next term ready for another busy and exciting term.
