& Careers News
Year 10 students recently attended the Subject Expo to learn more about the Year 11 subjects available to them next year. The event gave students the opportunity to explore a variety of subjects and gain valuable information to help them make informed decisions about their future studies.
The expo was led and organised by our Domain Leaders, Mr Lam, Mr White, Mrs Ferguson, and Mrs Travaglini, whose efforts played a key role in making the event a success. Their leadership helped ensure students had access to valuable information and guidance as they began planning for their senior years.
Teachers and current VCE students were available to answer questions, explain course content, and share their experiences. Students were able to learn about subject requirements, assessment tasks, and the pathways associated with different subjects. They were also shown how specific subjects can be applied in real-life situations and the careers they may lead to in the future.
In addition, some teachers provided information about ATAR scores, subject scaling, and how certain subjects can support particular university courses and career pathways. This helped students gain a clearer understanding of how their subject choices may influence their future educational and career opportunities.
The Subject Expo was an informative and engaging event that encouraged students to consider their interests, strengths, and future goals when selecting their subjects. We thank Mr Lam, Mr White, Mrs Ferguson, Mrs Travaglini, and all staff and students who contributed to the success of the expo and supported Year 10 students in planning for the next stage of their education.
