We are excited to announce two new authors coming to visit us in Term 3. 

During National Children’s Book Week on Wednesday the 26th of August, we have spoken word poet, Will Small, visiting us. He will give Year 7 & 8 students an introduction to spoken word performance and inspire them to get creative and put their thoughts down on paper.

The Book Week theme for 2026 is ‘Symphony of Stories’. It runs from the 22nd to 28th of August. The theme celebrates the diversity and richness of storytelling, highlighting how different stories, voices, and characters come together like instruments in a symphony to create a harmonious whole. 

On Wednesday the 9th of September, we have local author Sofie Laguna running 2 workshops on the importance and skill of journalling. This will be open to the first 40 students who register their interest with the LRC. 

Look out for book week events happening in August and to see what your librarians will be wearing!
