Connect Crew

Over the past fortnight in Connect, students have continued to demonstrate teamwork, persistence and pride in our school community through a range of hands-on activities and collaborative projects.

Several groups have been caring for and maintaining our newly established veggie garden, taking responsibility for keeping the area tidy and thriving. It has been wonderful to see students working together and developing a sense of ownership over this shared space.

One of our Year 7 groups has been focusing on improving the school grounds by repairing potholes near the COLA area. After seeing the success of their hard work, students were eager to continue their efforts in the staff car park near Mooroop, showing genuine pride in contributing positively to the school environment and caring for staff vehicles.

Another group challenged themselves to complete a jigsaw puzzle within a single session. Before beginning, students set personal and group goals, leading to valuable discussions around the importance of goal setting, teamwork and perseverance. It was fantastic to see students encouraging one another and celebrating their progress along the way.

We are also continuing our journey of refurbishing an old cabinet and transforming it into a community library. This ongoing project has highlighted students’ persistence, creativity and determination as they work together to bring new life to a meaningful resource for the school community.
