Student Voice Council

By Maryam Rodd

The very first SVC meeting was held on February 21st. The participation was amazing, with students from different year levels prepared and highly motivated to be the voice of our school!

Great suggestions were made for our first event which was held during Harmony Week- March 21st to be exact! Games and different activities took place for the event including a Tug Of War on the school oval (see picture), a Kahoot in the library (see picture) - also a free dress day where students were encouraged to wear a splash of orange!

Gold coin donations, as it was decided on by the SVC members, will be going to support Darcy Welsh and Teagan Potter in their challenge to raise money for cancer research.

Each student in the team has been allocated a role, with our lovely school captains overseeing and monitoring the jobs closely.

The students have been positively proactive and suggested ideas for future events to be held at the school as well. I can not wait for our next meeting. Stay tuned!!!
