WCC Holi Celebration: A Colourful Run of Joy and Unity
Our school recently came alive with colour, energy, and excitement as all Hindi language students participated in a vibrant Colour Run to celebrate the festival of Holi- Festival of Colours.
The event was a wonderful blend of culture, fun, and community spirit. Dressed in white, students ran through the course while being showered with bright, eco-friendly colours, creating a joyful and unforgettable experience. Laughter and cheers filled the air as students embraced the spirit of Holi — a celebration of happiness, unity, and new beginnings.
Beyond the fun, the event also provided an opportunity for students to learn about the cultural significance of Holi, a festival that marks the arrival of spring and symbolises the triumph of good over evil. It highlighted important values such as inclusivity, respect, and togetherness. Hindi Club students commenced the celebration with a cultural performance followed by the colour run fun at the school oval.
The Colour Run not only promoted physical activity and wellbeing but also strengthened our school community, bringing students and staff together in a shared celebration of diversity and inclusivity.
A big thank you to the Hindi Team, and all other staff and students who helped organise and participate in this fantastic event. It was truly a colourful success!
We look forward to many more celebrations that bring our community together.
Happy Holi!
