Australian Maths Competition

We are excited to offer all students in Years 7 to 12 the opportunity to participate in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) one of the largest and most prestigious school-based mathematics competitions in Australia and internationally.

The AMC will take place on Tuesday 5 August, and it provides students with the chance to challenge themselves, extend their problem-solving and reasoning skills and gain recognition for their mathematical abilities. The competition consists of a range of engaging questions designed to test logic, creativity, and strategic thinking - not just routine calculation.

Participation is open to all students, regardless of their current maths level. Whether your child is passionate about mathematics or simply enjoys a challenge, the AMC is a valuable experience that encourages perseverance and critical thinking.

To register, students must complete the following Google Form by the end of term: https://forms.gle/3eufpJMCLoSUCLF49

Further details regarding the time and location of the competition will be provided closer to the date.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s Maths teacher.
