Principal's Report

As we approach the end of Term 2, there is much to celebrate and be grateful for within our vibrant school community. Our Year 9-11 students have completed their mid-year examinations, our Year 10 students have returned from valuable work experience placements and our Year 9 students proudly presented their first Amplify Expo - just a few highlights of what has been a dynamic and productive term.
Next week, our Year 10 students will head to Melbourne for their much-anticipated Careers Camp. This camp has become a signature part of our program, so successful that it has inspired similar initiatives in other schools. Meanwhile, our Year 9 students will take part in a Year 10 subject taster program at Brigidine Campus. We hope this experience sparks curiosity and broadens their perspectives as they begin thinking about their future learning pathways.
At St Joseph’s, we are continually seeking innovative approaches to education, always aiming to provide our students with enriching opportunities both in and beyond the classroom. This week marks the launch of several exciting initiatives, including the expansion of our Academies and Schools of Excellence - with more inspiring developments on the horizon.
Thank you to the families who participated in our online Learning Mentor meetings this week. Trying new approaches always involves some risk, but as educators, we strive to model adaptability and lifelong learning. If you have any feedback, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s LM or their Director of Campus.
I would like to acknowledge and thank our dedicated staff for their ongoing commitment to student growth and success. Their efforts to enhance learning outcomes are deeply appreciated, and I hope they find time for rest and rejuvenation over the upcoming term break.
God Bless.
