Year 10 Careers Camp, Work from Home Day & Year 11 Subject Selection Process

Next week, our Year 10 students will head to Melbourne for the highly anticipated Careers Camp - a key component of the Year 10 program. This camp provides students with invaluable exposure to a range of industries and career pathways through interactive workshops and workplace visits across the city.

Students will be based at Ormond College, part of the University of Melbourne, giving them a glimpse into university life. They’ll also navigate Melbourne via public transport, gaining independence and firsthand experience of city-based work environments. The Careers Camp is designed to help students make informed and confident choices about their future.

Following the camp, on Friday 4 July, Year 10 students will complete a Work from Home Day. This day is dedicated to reflecting on their experiences from the Careers Camp and the 2026 Year 11 Subject Assembly, held on Monday 30 June (Period 3). Students will use this time to complete their Career Planning Sheet and Subject Selection Planner, available via Compass, in preparation for Course Counselling Interviews scheduled for Week 2 of Term 3.
