Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers
On Saturday, we commemorated ANZAC Day, a time to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedom, and to honour those who lived lives of faith, service, and compassion. Our School Captains proudly represented St Fidelis at the Coburg RSL, laying a wreath at the memorial. This was a special and memorable experience for both the children and their families.
On Monday morning, our school community gathered for a beautiful ANZAC Day liturgy led by our Year 3 students. It was a meaningful opportunity for us all to come together in remembrance. We were especially honoured to have Mr Scott Smith, a Navy veteran, join us, enriching the occasion with his presence. May we continue to carry this legacy forward in the way we live each day.

Celebrating Our Community | A Message of Thanks and Invitation
Dear St Fidelis School Community,
I am pleased and excited to share that we will be replacing the playground in the Hawthorn yard for our senior children this June. This wonderful addition has been made possible thanks to the incredible efforts of our P&F and the generous support of our whole community through fundraising initiatives. We feel very fortunate to have such a supportive community.
I’ve had the joy of visiting most classrooms to share the playground design, and the response from the children has been incredible. Their excitement is absolutely contagious, and they can’t wait for their new playground! I also shared the design at last night's Parents and Friends meeting.
Since 2019, our Parents and Friends Committee has been the heart of many wonderful things at our school. On behalf of all staff, I want to say a big thank you to every parent, carer, and volunteer who has contributed time, skills, and support over the years.
Your efforts have created opportunities, built connections, and made a real impact. Some highlights include:
- STEM Space – A unique, hands-on learning hub made possible by your fundraising and dedication.
- Junior Playground – A fun, safe area for our younger students and outdoor spaces.
