Term 2 Inquiry Focus

History Inquiry Unit – Change Over Time

This term, students across the school will be engaging in a History inquiry focused on Change Over Time. Through this learning, students will develop an understanding of the role of change in our lives and how it helps us to understand our world and contribute to preferred futures. They will explore how and why the world and its people have changed, while also recognising the important continuities that remain today. Students will also examine the connections between world history and Australia’s ongoing role in the global community.

Foundation – Year 2

The students in F-2 will investigate how everyday objects, toys, tools and technology have changed over time. They will explore how artefacts from the past help us learn about history and understand the lives of people before us. Students will compare objects from the past and present, ask questions about how life has changed, and consider what has stayed the same. Thstudents will participate in a special History incursion focused on toys from the past, helping them explore how objects and play have changed over time.
